I am Jodi. I'm 35 years old, married, and a mom of three. My husband is in the Navy, a submariner. He is currently on sea duty which basically means I am a single parent most of the time. My kids are Aubrey, 14, Sydney, 11, and Alli, the chunky punkin of the bunch, who is 2.
(Yes, all girls. So maybe my life isn't ALL boring. But I'll get back to the husband and kids another day.)
I am a stay-at-home mom once again after many years of random pay-the-bills kinds of jobs and two years of a living-my-dream job. Not that I want to debate it, but to me staying home is much harder than working ever was. (When I was a working mom, I rarely questioned my sanity, which spending the majority of everyday alone with a two-year-old chatterbox leaves me doing on the daily.)
I am the most organized/least organized person you will ever know. By this I mean, I love to organize things. I love to buy cute organizing containers, and I LOVE when things are organized, but ... I super stink at keeping things organized. I'm a stacker, a piler, an I'll-just-stick-this-right-here-for-right-now kind of girl. It's a vicious cycle. Whatev.
I watch a lot of trashy reality TV, and I secretly hate myself for it just a little. I don't watch a lot of news, read the newspaper, or follow politics of any kind, but that doesn't bother me one bit. I do love to read all kinds of fiction. I received a Kindle for my 35th birthday, and I LOVE it! I also love reading magazines. If left to my own devices, I will have a dozen new shiny magazines next to my spot on the couch all the time. I read them cover-to-cover, tear out how-to's and special articles, and never look at the again. (Which really doesn't help with the whole organized/unorganized problem.)
I am seriously annoyed by fake people (yes, Kim Kardashian, I mean you). I hold a grudge like nobody's business (I haven't seen a Tom Cruise movie since he went off his scientology rocker), and I call things exactly as I see them (It's not the JEANS that make your butt look fat, dear).
I'm a bit of a curmudgeon, and I'm okay with that most of the time.
To my credit, I love my family more than life itself. I completely understand the value of a true friends, and I love my friends with everything I have. I love my dog so much I clean up poop every morning
So, yeah, that's me in a nutshell. Enjoy.
